A tradition Cajun dessert from good ol' New Orleans

Delicious Banana Foster



Servings: 4
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

4 bananas
1/2 cup of butter
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 cup of fresh orange juice
1/2 cup of whipping cream
**optional alcohol which will be flambeed such as rum or cointreau

Directions:

In a large non stick fry pan, melt butter. Add sugar, cinnamon and orange juice. Boil until reduced by half. Add whipping cream and reduce by half. Then add sliced bananas and heat until bananas are hot. Serve with ice cream or alone and if you like with french toast, crepes or waffles as we have done.

  1. I hate bananas but when I had this in LA I literally fell over it was that good so I will try this out did not know it was so easy and quick to make. Learning a lot with your blog.
